Does device encryption slow down the Spro?

Has anyone enabled device encryption on their Spro 2?

If so, has anyone experienced a noticeable degradation in performance of their device?

Some discussions (i.e. Does encryption affect the performance of Android phones? | IDG Answers ) have reported a hit of up to 40% or 60% on certain operations on a Nexus 5 under Lollipop, but we're still stuck on KitKat, and I'm not sure how the two devices compare spec-wise.

The reason why I'm asking is because I'm contemplating turning it on, as it is a requirement of my company policy if I want to put corporate mail on the device, and because it is not reversible without wiping out the entire device.

Inquiring minds want to know. Thanks.

I haven't thought to do this, bit don't believe it would slow it down, as it doesn't on most newer android devices. Should you have further questions please let me know.
