Okay... It's not really magic

I wouldn't call it magic. Google allows you to use voice to also take a pic.

    Great minds think alike!

I thought that was just to open up the camera app via voice with google.

LG seems to be the only company that has a hand gesture for taking selfies. I found this feature to work better than the voice command.Voice didn't work so well in a loud environment, but noise wasn't a factor for the hand gesture.

I've never tried, it's very possible though. I know you can choose either to take a selfie or regular pic though. Plus, depending on what phone you have, typically there's an option to use voice to take a picture such as "cheese, smile, etc".

One thing we've discussed is in plain view....................................................................................

  • hollaphollap United States Posts: 8,370 ✭✭✭✭✭✭✭✭

Does it say "manual" down there for a manual mode?

  • 02busa02busa United StatesPosts: 1,439 ✭✭✭✭✭✭

While manual mode is awesome, and I'm glad that's there; that's not what I was referring to..

Darnit!  Well at least knowing Manual Mode is there will help others looking for it, as I've seen it questioned in other posts

I know of my Moto X Pure you can take pictures by saying "take a picture" or "take a selfie".

I believe most android phones with KitKat (definitely Lollipop) or higher have this function.
