Honestly I didn't know that metro pc was the first one that introduced it but AFAIK that google might include a full support to it in thier next OS, I am not sure if android N or O. The whole idea of having RCS as I see it is to make the messaging process more faster and flexible than the current.
I preordered a Gray model as soon as ZTE's Twitter page woke me up. I'm starting to consider buying the gold model so I don't have to wait three weeks!!
Regarding CDMA/Verizon Support..Jeff mentioned in the webinar that the device is banded for CDMA and they are actively working with Verizon to have the device officially supported by them. They are hopeful, but there are no guarantees at this point.
Looking to preorder a Quartz Gray Axon 7 directly from ZTE USA for mid August shipment. A $50 coupon code would help with the added tax to California and the longer wait... <wink><wink>
That's what I call making up for lost time! Thank you ZTE for thinking about us and providing us with a future ready phone! My only caveat is the fact that the 128GB model is only available to China!! That's the model I wanted.
I jumped in because my HTC is dying a slow and painful death. I wanted to wait for the 6/128 but the way they responded I don't think it will be anytime "soon".
I'm not sure what carrier you have but if you have gsm, might i suggest going and picking up a zmax 2 in the mean time? It's a fantastic device and my daily driver for now till the 128 comes out and it only costs 60 at best buy so it is cheap, great midranger, and can be a formidable backup in case something happens to the a7.
Woohoo!!! I cant wait for Republic Wireless support. It sounds so much better than the Moto X! I think ZTE really nailed this phone. However, the question is "how will the general public respond?".
Yes, I know... but that doesn't mean a few of us can't ask if any kind souls out here have one they don't plan to use to pay it forward to those of us who are looking to order.

I am a little worried now, as I didn't receive a coupon.
Hi . We have not forgotten about you. We did receive your email a little while ago and we will get back to you shortly.
Thanks, you are awesome (and all the ZTE team)

I think 31st August.
Coupon is good until August 31st I believe.
They did state a 6/128 variant will be available at some point in the US. Just no specific date.
lol back to the waiting game

and it doesn't help that HTC phones are the most unrepairable phones out there.
My M8 took a ride down a waterslide....it had fun during the trip, but died
from the excitement. That was in May.....i've been playing the best buy
return game every two weeks since I got back on June 6th. They put a stop
to it. Now I'm stuck with the 1p3 that arrived 2 days ago....since the a7
won't be here/avail until after the return period.
Well, the OP3 isn't the worst option in the world. I like how you described the HTC though

I have a feeling that as soon as I get the gray a7 the 6/128 will be
announced.....at least that's how my luck has been going lately. lol
lol the worst kinda luck

They're definitely not fun to repair!
Literally, about to buy it now, so pumped!!!!

You and me both.. haaa.. I have been asking as well, but none seem to be available.
