One of the big attractions is Hoover Dam.

  • hollaphollap United StatesPosts: 8,377 ✭✭✭✭✭✭✭✭

The Fremont Street experience is something you can check out.  Live bands usually play in the street, there's zip lines, etc.

Good idea and it is close.

    Excellent suggestion!

I checked it out and it looks like a great time can be had there

Went to Vegas on our Honeymoon back in 2009.  The Hoover Dam tour alright.  I was hoping to get to see a more in depth view of it.  We stopped at the Ethel M Chocolate Factory and did a tour, and walked through their cactus garden.  That was pretty neat.

I am still waiting to get approved by CES registration.  Is there something I could include in my registration to tie it to ZTE so I can officially get confirmed?  I paid my $100 already.

I don't know of a way to tie in a registration with ZTE directly. Once we finalize our pre-CES and CES schedule, we'll provide an update for everyone to plan accordingly. Look forward to getting a big group together!

This would be so so awesome, Im total starting to save for this now lol

  • If you -do- plan on doing some gambling, my recommendation would be not to gamble on the strip; a lot of other casinos off strip have better incentives/deals/games.

I've been to Vegas a good handful of times (My best friend used to live there) and there actually is a lot of things you can do:

Otherwise, consider seeing some shows! Terry Fator is one of the most unique experiences, ever (If you don't know who Terry Fator is, click this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPi-hbgQ8c8) - He's amazing and he's even more amazing live.

I just heard back from CES, and I am officially registered!  So looks like I will be there for sure.

So I have no official way to get to CES right now. Will ZTE provide a path for me to attend?

  • jasonscarterjasonscarter United StatesPosts: 1,819 ✭✭✭✭✭✭✭✭

Did you try to register?  I got registered and it had to be reviewed first, but since I work in IT for a large university, I was able to get in.  I was wanting to go this year anyway.  Already have plane tickets and hotel booked.

  • vagavaga USAPosts: 347 ✭✭✭

Ok I will try. I saw the form and was worried that there may be issues. The thing is, I don't work for a tech firm (yet)

  • jasonscarterjasonscarter United StatesPosts: 1,819 ✭✭✭✭✭✭✭✭

Write a good justification and hope for the best.  I had to provide proof of employment along with my justification.  If you work in IT/tech at all...it's worth a shot.  They will process your $100 fee and it will be a hold on your debit card until they approve or disapprove you.  Takes a few days.

That's great! Hang tight for now as we're still going back and forth on our pre-CES event planning. The goal is still to have any Z-Community member attend a few days of planned activities prior to CES and also have folks invited to our booth during CES. It's a big event and there are lots to plan for!

My wife and I were going to go to Vegas this month, but we decided that it sounded too cool to come for pre-CES stuff and hang out with ZTE!

I'm sure we can still fit in some excessive eating and catch a Cirque du Soleil show in between ZTE activities

For anyone thinking about going.....I have found out of all the "official" CES hotels, Excalibur had the cheapest rates if price is of concern.  I stayed there back in 2009 on my Honeymoon and it was a good place to stay.  They have shuttles to and from the convention center from the official CES hotels.

  • fzrrichfzrrich United StatesPosts: 4,251 mod

Hey Guys!!!  ZTE always has things going on behind the scenes and you never know what ZTE will have in store for us next.  Do you want to become a part of the action???

If the answer is YES, Head on over to the Beta Lab and fill out a brief survey for a chance to become a Beta tester!! The new Beta Project is code named "Mercury" and should be out of this world!!!

"We are currently recruiting for ZTE Smartphone Beta Project "Mercury".  There are a limited number of spots to fill so please answer the questions honestly.  The Qualification Survey is located here: Beta Application Survey "

IS this real?  If it's official ZTE then why is it hosted on Google docs?

  • sshasansshasan Staff Member United StatesPosts: 4,022 admin

This is official. Google Docs are used by plenty of businesses. If you want to stay up with the times you gotta use everything Google!

  • fzrrichfzrrich United StatesPosts: 4,251 mod

    100% Official

It should also be noted that, our ModSquad have blue symbols next to our names (Z, CFA, CPA, CTA), and you can put trust in the links we post. Also the Beta Lab can be found here, and will also list as current beta tests to be held by ZTE.

I am a Microsoft Office 365 user at home and at work.  So Google isn't everything.  :-)

  • hollaphollap United StatesPosts: 8,377 ✭✭✭✭✭✭✭✭

Budget is my main concern at this point   But I would love to go!

  • ironbaybeedollironbaybeedoll United StatesPosts: 4,618 mod
