Google Play won;t download or update

Hi,

Has anyone experienced major issues with the play store. At the minute no apps will download or update for me at all. I've gone through all the steps on here (https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/7513003?hl=en) ands here (https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/7512202).

And now I've gone and done a factory reset thinking that won't certainly resolve the issue, but no luck. Any ideas?

    Yeah, did all those.

FYI, I went off wifi onto mobile data, and that worked. Isn't a good solution for me though, as it sucks in my house/neighbourhood, and I'm not on an unlimited plan.

On your WiFi router, do you have any parental controls turned on, or are you behind a double NAT with UPnP turned off?

Also, are you using any other network security devices, or something like a raspberry pi running Pi-hole?

If so, make sure that there are no rules set that will target and non-ad serving domains from Google, as the play store update behaves weird where you can clearly have a working connection, but if it cannot talk to a specific range of google server, then it thinks you are off line and refuses to update.

PS, if using a mesh WiFi setup, that makes use of 802.11r, try turning that function off temporarily to see if the behavior changes, if it does, then it may be worth listing the model here and probably also reporting it to the router maker.

Had the same problem last week with Play Store. It was a congestion. Remeber upliads lots of data before download.
