Phone got wet.

I recently was given a ZTE Z812 phone. It just got rained on. It must have fallen out of my pocket before it rained. At first the power button worked, but the screen wouldn't respond to touch. Now the power button won't work. The green LED is still flashing. I have the back off, and the charger is plugged in. Should I just let it sit and dry off, or will it ever work again?

typically if a device is wet, it is best to let it completely dried up before plugged it into the charger (since if you charge it while there are still some liquid, it can cause short). I would suggest you take the battery out and wait until it is completely dried (some people suggest putting the phone in a bag of rice for a few days), then plug see if you can boot it up. If that still won't boot the phone up, then it is likely you would need a new device:(.
