I have a Z233VL Tracphone. When I make an outgoing call, my phone will hang up after the 5th ring if the call isn't answered. Many voicemail/answering machines don't pick up until 6 or 7 rings...is there a way to adjust this?
i do believe this is set by the carrier as the carrier set how long to ring a call before forwarding to voicemail. You could try the following MMI codes:
--Dial *#61# and click Send. You will see your VM access number and the current ring delay time.
-- Write down the phone number displayed (including +1).
-- Dial **61+1xxxxxxxxxx*11*NN# and hit Send.
+1xxxxxxxxxx is the number you wrote down previously for the VM,
NN is the delay in seconds you wish to set.
For example, if your voicemail is 806123456, and you want to set it to 30 seconds. Then you would enter **61+1806123456*11*30#.
The delay time can be set as 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30.
--Dial *#61# to verify that the new settings are active.
