Great first impressions Video J! The hardware is beautiful in my opinion.
Great Video, this is going to be a Stellar Device!!!
Hoping for unlocked bootloader. Looking to purchase immediately. Also do we previous axon 7 (enhanced) buyers get a discount?
You da man @mrjlwilliams 💪
Thanks for the unboxing/first impressions video @mrjlwilliams. The part that really caught my attention was when he was showing off the video capabilities of the Axon 10 but not sure if I'm understanding him correctly. Can someone confirm that the Axon 10 is able to shoot videos using both the ultra-wide and telephoto lenses? As far as I'm aware, the OnePlus 7 Pro does not allow video to be taken with neither the ultra-wide nor telephoto cameras so having the ability here on the Axon 10 is pretty significant.
Great video @mrjlwilliams that phone is looking awesome! ZTE really packed a lot of great specs into a sleek looking, reasonably priced phone! Well done ZTE. :)
Led notification light? AOD? Pelase let us know if this ia available
Yes, you can shoot video through all 3 rear lenses!
No LED but yes it has AOD.
@louisd Thanks for the confirmation. I have a feeling that OnePlus will soon enable video recording with the ultra-wide and telephoto camera's on the 7 Pro with a future update now that the Axon 10 is coming out to challenge it. Seems strange that they didn't include the ability from the very beginning though. Either that or it'll definitely be enabled on the upcoming 7T Pro to use as a selling point over the previous 7 Pro.
While we're on the topic of video recording capabilities, does anyone know if the main camera on the Axon 10 is capable of recording 4K in 60 frames-per-second or is it still just 30 FPS?
@toyguy22 The main sensor maxes out at 4K 30FPS. This is the highest recording capability of the camera sensor.
@Aerospaceman answered the boot loader question in another thread.... As for a trade-in program, that is something ZTE is exploring at a later date.
That's a real bummer considering most 2019 and even some 2018 flagship phones are capable of recording video at 4K 60FPS.
Does axon 10 support VoLTE and wifi calling on all carrier?
VoLTE on both T-Mobile and AT&T and WiFi calling on T-Mobile.
No Verizon support or Visible wireless support? Im on AT&T hmm might want to get this one instead of galaxy note 10 that doesnt have volte on at&t. Seems like samsung engineers arent doing its job to have full carrier support 😁
No support for CDMA carriers.
Were you really expecting Visible support? The have support for the smallest handful of Android phones. Not even the Note 10 which will outsell the A10+ by the millions.
Why it doesnt have LTE Band 14 for at&t? It's very important for at&t network 😏
Since they have R2 for visible i pressumed they have it for newer devices.
From what I understand Band 14 is solely for the use by first responders which is in the 700Mhz band. Below is a link that should shed some more light on what Band 14 is.
Oh no, Band 14 is actually a national coverage for at&t and also for future 5G. at&t will be deploying HPUE by end of this year to improve B14 coverage to make it double. At&t engineers are telling consumers you need B14 for rural coverage rural coverage only has 3G. Firstnet can use any at&t band not just B14 and all at&t customers can use B14, when times of congestion firstnet subscribers first. At&t doesn't acquire firstnet frequency if they cant benefit from it this is why they sold away B71. I have B14 on galaxy phone constantly connecting when i am in rural areas but sadly no VoLTE on my phone.
Learn something new everyday. I'm a TMO user so haven't had to ever look into B14. Thanks for the info and update!
Just a few months ago they sent emails to their business subscribers to migrate to LTE device if they are still using 3G because they are shutting down 3G slowly in some areas to free space for LTE and 5G and they also announced all AT&T device will get VoLTE by end of this year but up to now no VoLTE yet on most unlocked devices and no progress. That's why I asked if VoLTE works 'cause it is crucial for AT&T now. 3G will shutdown on Feb 2022 on AT&T. link here https://www.att.com/esupport/article.html#!/wireless/KM1324171?gsi=17h5us
One of our testers who is on ATT is able to use VoLTE. Cannot officially state it will work and we don't promise it. I use TMO and cannot corroborate, so YMMV..
I'm on T-Mobile now also.... Had to leave the high bills of AT&T behind....lol
Recently T-Mobile is having issues with Band 71 performance and Band 4 and 66 switch over that drops the call So Tmobile decided to MFBI Band 4 as 66. But the good news is AT&T and T-Mobile VoLTE is reported to be interoperable now.
The R2 was a phone made specifically for Visible. I wouldn't take that to say anything at all about unlocked phones that ZTE puts out on the future. Eventually Verizon will make LTE only activation a normal course of business and Visible will simplify it's OS magic mojo to widen availability, but that will come from the other side of the fence, not this one.
I'm Back!!! Ordered my Axon 10 Pro today with overnight shipping. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow. :) Replacing my P20 Pro, which I was happy with but was starting to lag really bad.. I'll definitely be putting more time back into the Z-Community.
