Android 10 is finally here. We are excited to be able to get this update to your devices. Below are some release notes regarding the update that we recommend you read.
Release Notes:
1. Due to the large size of this update we highly recommend updating over wifi to prevent going over your wireless carriers data allotment.
2. OS Update (Android 9 to Android 10). Before upgrading, please back up all of your data to avoid any potential loss during the upgrade process.
3. Currently some apps are not compatible with Android 10 and may not function properly after the upgrade. After updating to Android 10, if some apps are not working correctly we recommend you uninstall and reinstall those apps. If after the reinstall the apps are still not working correctly please create a post in the ZTEUSA Z-Community https://community.zteusa.com and provide all relevant information.
4. After the update completed downloading it will take a few minutes to verify the package and fully restart. This is normal operation. Do not restart the phone while the package is being verified.
5. Provides the latest version of Google security patch.
6. Fixes other issues to improve system stability.
Note's
1. This update won't erase data stored on your phone, but it's still advised to back up your data before updating.
2. In order to finish update, please make sure your phones battery level is above 30%.
3. Your phone will restart automatically after you update your phone. It may take a few minutes to restart right after your phone is updated.
4. If a third-party app doesn't work properly, you can temporarily uninstall the app or wait until the app developer fixes this issue.

Awesome!! Android 10
Thanks!!
Thanks ZTE!!
Time to install!!
Great news! I think "Dark Mode" from Android 10 might help make the stellar battery life of the A10Pro even better.
Android 10 is here , Thanks ZTE
Awesome news. Time to start downloading and playing with all of the great features that comes with Android 10.
This is great news, thanks!
Gesture navigation is broken unless you are using the stock launcher. This is an issue that Google fixed for Android 10 back in December. When can we expect ZTE to implement this fix? This is really unacceptable. Same thing happened with this phone when it launched in the USA with Android 9! Gestures were broken then too. I'm using Action Launcher and the developer has already patched it to work with Android 10 gestures. Since it doesn't work with the Axon 10 Pro using Android 10 that can only mean that ZTE pushed an old build of Android 10 prior to being patched by Google. Fix it please!
Sweet, they didn't quite make it before the end of 2019 but at least they got it out not too long after. Bring on that dark theme.
Maybe when ZTE promised the Android 10 update before the end of the year, they possibly meant before the Chinese New Year, which this year happens to be January 25th. So, in that sense, they made the deadline by one week.
All kidding aside, glad to see Axon 10 Pro owners finally get the update.
Super smooth so far, feels a bit snappier too.
Thanks for this. So far so good.
Great! Everything works smoothly. However I do find out annoyance: the label font size for app launcher is huge. I cannot find a way to change it to smaller size.
Only way to change the label at the moment is by changing the Display size to small (Settings > Display), but of course that will also change the whole display output and not just the font label.
Okay... anyone else having a problem with the custom sound picker?
I tried to change my ringtone yesterday to another custom sound clip in my Ringtones folder. Some are in MP3 format, some in OGG format. All of them have the same issue; I get an annoying "you can't do that" chime and nothing happens. The same thing happens with notification sounds, as well as if I'm trying to choose a custom ringtone for a specific contact.
This does not happen with the "stock" ringtones, notification or alarm sounds. And it seems that the only way around this is to use something like Zedge where it allows you to set something you've downloaded right from the app, which means moving them all to the Zedge download folder, then choosing them again... Ugh.
I checked around and it seems that quite a few pixel owners have had this problem since day one, but I find it odd that with all the time ZTE had to push this out that they didn't notice this or fix it.
Thoughts?
I already have it set to small. Unfortunately, the label text is still too big
What about Font Size?
That can also alter the size system wide...
Any way to download the update manually? Been waiting for this update a long time and it doesn't seem to come to my device.
We are waiting for the R&D team to provide the update file to the web team that will be posted to ZTEUSA.com They are working on it, I just do not know when it will be up.
Doesn't have effect on app label
how goes the updated devices? Curious before i update mine
Mine works fantastic! 👍
I have no complaints about the Android 10 update. Everything is great!
I'm gonna try asking again... is anyone else having trouble with the ringtone picker? Can you select custom ringtones from the Ringtones folder? Both my and my wife's phones give an annoying chime when I try, and it doesn't make the change. This also happens with custom alarms and notifications.
Can someone else confirm if it's just our phones or an Android 10 issue?
After update to Android 10, my battery life become so bad and phone runs hot. anyone got that issue?
not sure what is going on, battery drop from 72% to 22% without using the phone in 4hrs... it is crazy.
and also notice the slow charging, I use 1A charger and took 6hrs from 22% to 92%
anyone? should I try to reset my phone or contact ZTE? only had this phone for like 3 weeks
I just checked on my phone and I was able to set a mp3 music file as my ringtone. It is a file I have saved on the phone's Music folder that I have transferred. I set it using Phone's setting and also using the file explorer and either cases, I have no issue.
anyone?
I have not had any issues with my battery life.
Maybe @DrakenFX can help.
I use my phone alot and my battery runs down in a day.
But that is from heavy use.
And my charging I use the charger that came with my phone seems to completely charge quickly (sorry never timed it)
And running hot, when I watch a video seems a little warmer.
thank you, but really strange this phone act like this...
Yes it is really strange, but let's reach out and get it handled!
I love my phone.

Hi @saeedted sorry i hit your name by mistake and I can't delete it.
Must mean want to include you in this conversation.
Hi!
Have you check under battery , what app / hardware is currently consuming your battery?
I have not run into any battery issues and been getting such a great SoT (8 up to 9 hrs) than any other device , even better than my OP 7Pro.
Charging any device with 1A and 4000+ Battery Capacity will take several hours to full charge...
I personally use 1A charger for overnight and Stock Charger for day charge if I need Quick/Fast Charging.
Remember if you need :
* "Fast Charging" use the ZTE Stock charger or any 3rd. Party Charger QC3 will work.
* Charging @ 2.4a will also help with fast charge, but don't expect the same charging speed as QC3.
* 1A is the slowest charging speeds you'll get and I recommend it to be use for Overnight only, instead of day use.
