    None of the above....

    • Highly doubt Galaxy Note 7 (aka 6) will be packing Project Tango since it's not really mainstream yet and requires more sensors.
    • iPhone obviously won't be having Project Tango since it's Apple after all...
    • LeEco Le Max 2 Pro, probably not, since Project Tango is still fairly new and they are more into their own ecosystem (streaming service, etc.)
    • Not sure what Nexus M or S is... Assuming it's the upcoming HTC Nexus and Huawei Nexus, I doubt those will be Project Tango either since Nexus phones are more of a stock Android experience.
    • Moto X, also known as Moto Z now, already released and doesn't have Project Tango, maybe a motomod to make it Project Tango compatible, but highly doubt people would want that add-on.

I personally think Project Tango won't be on phones smaller than 6-inch because augmented reality, you would want a bigger screen to work with when seeing through the phone's display, mainly because the phone needs to host a few more sensors other than just cameras. So most likely, it needs to be in a bigger body at the moment.

Motorola said they would continue with the Moto X line as a separate tier from the Z, which is now their new flagship. Since we haven't heard anything about the new Moto X, and it's made by Lenovo now, the same manufacturer as the PHAB2 Pro, the MX might get some Tango love.  But, alas, you are correct about the size requirements. Perhaps a better question might be what tablet/phablet will be next to be Tango ready?

Come to think of it, AR could be what brings the tablet industry back from its slump. It might be wise for Google to only have AR on it's tablets as a way to really differentiate from and compete with the iPad.

I would say the Nexus M

  • It would have been nice if the Axo 7 came with Project Tango technology.
