Project Fi/Axon 7 Incoming Calls

I am using a Project Fi Voice SIM in my phone. I can make calls and text just fine, but incoming calls have stopped working. When I put the SIM back in my old Nexus and force the connection back to TMobile calls start coming again, but when I move the SIM back to my Axon it doesn't work. I can only get the calls over VOIP through Hangouts.

Any ideas?

Project Fi only works on Nexus and Pixel devices the code needed for the service to function properly is part of Googles base code not AOSP

Direct from Googles Project Fi Page:
Which devices can I use on Project Fi?
Project Fi is available on the Pixel, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, and Nexus 6. Currently these are the only smartphones to support our network of networks. You must have the North American model of the above devices in order to use it on the Project Fi network. For more information on compatible devices click here.

  • There are also a dozen blog articles about people using it on third party devices. You only get TMobile (not Sprint or US Cellular) but it has worked. Eg:

The SIM was activated in my old Nexus 6 and has regularly worked in third party phones since then. I know this isn't an officially supported solution but I was hoping that someone would know what Google changed.

Not sure if Google changed anything or not, but it will be difficult to determine if they did. I remember a long time ago one member using Fi with the A7 but not sure what results they were getting with it. Sorry I'm not much help on this :)

I have searched all over reddit and cant find anyone with any other phone that is functioning properly on project Fi
the thread you reference is people using and Iphone a year ago and most of them cant get the service to function fully even when going through the entire projectFi section I wasnt able to find anything. I wish I had more info but other than changing the apn settings like the users did in this thread I would suggest maybe trying to go into dual sim settings and then mobile network settings and choose a operator (tmobile) and active data roaming the other option would be to select GSM in network mode which would prevent you from connecting to sprint but it would also mean no LTE
