Here is the some steps to follow to
Dial *67.
Enter the number you wish to call (including area code).
Tap the Call button. The words "Private," "Anonymous," or some other indicators will appear on the recipient's phone instead of your mobile number.
I use Security Master, because it has a better Block Phone Number / Block Text Message feature (even warning if it's Telemarketing, or a Robo Call). 👍
Anyone else have a recommended App they use from Google Play?
If you don't want to write down the number that you want to block, just so you can enter it into the settings/call blocking section, do this...
Go to the phone app
Press Recents, to see the phone numbers that have called you
Find the phone number, then press it (not the phone icon or the circle, press the actual number)
you'll see some drop-down options, press Call details
You should see the option to Block number, press it
You'll get a pop up that says that "You will no longer receive calls or texts from this number", Press Block
Don't worry if you block a number by mistake...after you do it, the Block Number option changes to Unblock number

Easy Breezy!!
What is the definition of "receive a call"?? If the calls just go direct to VM without ringing, does that mean you did not "receive" the call.
And, to clear up the Confusion, someone that knows, please contrast and compare the "Block Number" operation with the Contact Listing Edit Option of "All calls to Voicemail".
I joined the Federal do not call list. I've had only 2 robo calls from California. I didn't reckognise the number so I didn't even pick up. It costs nothing to join. I'm sorry but you'll have to Google it to get it. I don't have the number.
