Has anyone noticed a change to the watch performance besides the new name? Performance is still same for me.

No change for me with my Huawei Watch 2. I think they are just re-branding at this time. No real changes or new features at this time. I really wish they would get it to where I didn't have to reset the watch just by switching phones.

the wearOS is more like a rebrand on the phone's app, I don't believe it change anything on the watch, at least not for now. I do think the app opend a bit faster on my phone (but that maybe just optimization and bug-fixes:)).

As far as I know, it's only a change in name and I believe it's due to them wanting to separate it from Android because the watches also work with iPhones. That's why they dropped the name Android from it and simply made it Wear OS because it is more independent now with its own app store on the watch installing apps directly to the watch and works with iPhones.
