Three accessories just put up in the ZTE online store for Axon M

I was checking the accessories page earlier in the day and everything was the same as it's been for a long time. Then I checked it just now and there's three new accessories in there - all of which are for the new Axon M.

  1. An Axon M Protective Case Black - $34.99 (https://www.zteusa.com/zte-axon-m-protective-case-black)

  2. An Axon M Car Mount - $29.99 (https://www.zteusa.com/axon-m-car-mount)

  3. Headphone Splitter - $9.99 (https://www.zteusa.com/headphone-splitter)

It's great to see ZTE offer some sort of protection for the Axon M as I'm sure there will be very few, if any, other companies making a case for it. It is a little pricey but it's understandable since the case has to be hinged too and there's probably going to be no other alternatives out there. The other two can be used with other phones but are mostly intended to be used with an Axon M.

What are your initial thoughts on these accessories?

Agreed - it is good to see ZTE offer up accessories. I just finished making a custom car mount, otherwise I might be interested in that. The protective case looks interesting - although it does nothing to protect the screen face it does look to provide edge impact absorption, which would likely be useful. And the screen is Gorilla Glass 5, so short of covering it when not in use a case wouldn't really help there.

I dropped my M 3 times in the first couple of days. Some might call that clumsy but I'm going with rigorous early testing. Anyway I think it hit edge first each time, so the case might be more effective than initial reaction suggests.

It is nice to see them bring a few accessories to market. The car mount actually looks pretty nice.

Funny, I never thought about using a car mount for such a large phone that flips out like that haha. I'm glad they are thinking of those things and making them. I'm pretty shocked at the price of the case though.

Yes a bit costly in my opinion.

I so love that they thought to offer a headphone splitter. This just makes so much sense. I can actually see this getting a lot of use. I am shocked to see they are offering up accessories so quickly but feel that is a great sign of things to come.

I saw this page on ZTE's website that shows a link that says if you register your phone, you get a free case.

Looks like ZTE also added a couple of phone pouches to the Axon M accessories list.

There was a little glitch in the ordering but I received my free case. Now I feel a little more protected setting it down or possibly dropping it. Thanks ZTE!

I purchased the Axon M phone case in April 2018. Phone was dropped a couple of feet a few times. phone seems ok still, but top hinge on case broke on last fall. So only lasted a few months.

At the same time I purchased the belt case. It lasted about three months before the belt hoops tore like paper when it got caught on automobile seat belt.

Not quite the quality I would expect for the prices charged. Yet the only option since the Axon M is not a mainstream phone.
