With 2018 coming to a close, the Z-Community team is looking forward to planning for the new year.
Z-Community is no stranger to polls, contests, fan meetups and even a few off-topic conversations but we’re looking to do something new, something bigger and better than we’ve done in the past.
We’re not looking for any hate comments or bashing so if that’s your thing, please move on.
We want to know what would you do?
What type of involvement would you like to see from the community team?
How would you like to be more involved in the community?
What new programs or type of content would you come back day after day for?
Leave your suggestions in the comments below. We’d like to hear from each and everyone of you. Leave your comments by December 24, 2018 at 11:59PM EST and you will be entered into a raffle to win (1 of 5) prizes drawn randomly. Winners will be announced on December 26, 2018.

Be more open and forthcoming. I have said it a few different times, when the export ban was over, I kind of a expected some kind of announcement to the community about what had happened, what will be changing, and what the future holds for the community. A summary of sorts. That post never came. I had even messaged one of the mods, and they said they would be working on posting something, crickets. That ban left a lot of people unsure if ZTE is still committed to the USA market, and that devices who had big delays in bug fixes/updates, would be getting any fixes at all.
What type of involvement would you like to see from the community team?
More opportunity for open beta invites for people who want to participate. Start getting those community meetups back on the schedule. That last one was cancelled since it was right when the export ban issue happened. A lot of progress was made and we were getting ready to have a global ZTE Community and then that export ban took all the wind out of the sail. YouTube live streams with questions and answers may be something new to start trying.
How would you like to be more involved in the community?
Would love the chance to take part in testing and community meetups. However, my only ZTE Device, Axon 7, appears to be end of life. If ZTE needs any feedback on bringing a flagship Axon device back to the USA market, I would LOVE to be involved because I loved my Axon 7, and was looking forward to a new device from ZTE, but sadly, it hasn't arrived yet.
What new programs or type of content would you come back day after day for?
Open beta/testing programs, and questions/polls that will drive the development of future ZTE devices. I also enjoy helping and answering questions to other community members, but the community needs some rebuilding and I don't think participation is as high as it was before the ban because of what I said above.
If in person meetups aren't in the cards, You Tube live streams may be a way of getting the community together still for feedback and discussion talk.
Get us back in the loop and communicate your plans for the future, even if it is to say you do not know yet. Also give us an update on where things stand and who is still in board. It has been a rough year and many people at ZTE are no longer posting.
I would love to see ZTE focus on good hardware at an aforafford price. I would also love to see Android One devices. I feel manufacturers can make a name for tgemthemse by adopting this program and sticking by devices with regular seciy updates. I do not feel spending time tweaking and customizing Android is money and time we'll spent.
What type of involvement would you like to see from the community team?
Open up the beta opportunities again and do more byod betas like the Axon 7 updates. I would love to see some AMA or other Q&A meet ups in person and digitally.
How would you like to be more involved in the community?
I would love to jump back in with answering questions and interacting with other community members in person and online. I would love to see a resurgence of polls and open discussion and feedback on new device ideas. I am still searching for the next dual spakwr phone to replace my Axon 7.
What new programs or type of content would you come back day after day for?
Polls often get me to pop in. I also like free response questions that would go into device and software feedback. It would be nice to know that comments and ideas are seen by those that make decisions on what is next.
We want to know what would you do?
I would help tech support style and ask q's
What type of involvement would you like to see from the community team?
Just a team for tech supoort
How would you like to be more involved in the community?
Just answering q's for ppl
What new programs or type of content would you come back day after day for?
Polls. Interactions and helping people
I like what the community has done so far with meetup, beta test, focus group, poll, contest, giveaways etc. I feel that the community is really the first place where users would seek information about ZTE devices and I hope this would be the same in 2019. In my opinion, the community is a valuable place because I do feel that many of our opinions and suggestions have been taken into consideration. So kudos to team and continue to do what you guys have been doing.
In the coming year, I want to see the community expand. I do hope that there would be more beta testing program.
I also feel that ZTE should have a clearer roadmap with the software update and using the community as a medium to communicate with its users.
I feel the community is a great platform and would love to see it being used as a support forum where users can come to hang out to learn about their device. Also, I would like to see ZTE support team to be more involved in helping with customer’s warranty issue.
The community can be expanded showing other ZTE devices since we all know that there are plenty of interesting stuff that the rest of the world gets to play that US customers do not have the opportunity.
@jasonscarter said it pretty well. Going to see if I can add anything to it.
We want to know what would you do?
If you want to build the community you need to help people interact and a forum is ok but a chat would add to that. Also maybe create some online team for games that people like to play like PUBG for example.
May have to run some tryouts though. Those who make the team gets discounted devices to represent the ZTE USA Team.
What type of involvement would you like to see from the community team?
Would like to see a IRC chat room or something like that. The open source community uses these and they do pretty good with it. It allows for people to jump in. ask questions and maybe get answers real time. It would allow for more community feel.
How would you like to be more involved in the community?
I think a chat would allow people to be a little more involved and also I think people would get to know each better as well as they can actually chat about things rather than messaging back and forth. Also I loved testing out products for ZTE and would like to see that to be expanded.
What new programs or type of content would you come back day after day for?
Time is something that is of limited supply for everyone. So if you can make shore surveys or polls that I may come back for each day. However nothing big other than once or twice a month. What type of involvement would you like to see from the community team?
1. I would like to see the team continue to interact with users
2. As hard as it may be, the team should be able to keep other members respectful
How would you like to be more involved in the community?
1. I'd like to be able to contribute respectful answers to those questions that I can answer based on experience
2. Be a specialist in a specific device.
What new programs or type of content would you come back day after day for?
1. Weekly contest maybe for Play GC or ZTE SWAG
2. Opportunity to get/add to community content
We want to know what would you do?
Be more transparent, especially during the export ban. It felt like the community was out of the loop and had no clue what was going on or if ZTE will even be back once there's a settlement. There wasn't much info during that time. But I am glad they're back and active again in the community.
Another would be more meetups hosted (though I know it's hard to choose a location...); maybe once every 3 to 6 months? Get the fans and community more involved, get to know the person in real life.
What type of involvement would you like to see from the community team?
Meetups, open beta testing (device or software), have a discord server or some sort of chatroom for those who just want to have an open chat, could be anything or device related.
How would you like to be more involved in the community?
Chats, product specialist, share knowledge and experience of the product once familiar with it, more testing, etc.
What new programs or type of content would you come back day after day for?
Polls and short surveys, chatrooms, and open testing programs,
I would make sure that ZTE has a bigger social media footprint for 2019. I work in social media and I can clearly see that companies have not even begun to bust the whole social media machine open. There's so much potential and with so many users online 24 hours a day, there no limit.
What type of involvement would you like to see from the community team?
I would like to see the team do more with the community with meet-ups, Q&As, roundtables, etc.
How would you like to be more involved in the community?
Expanding on my previous answer, it would be nice to allow the community members to lead roundtables or to create a ZTE sponsor local meet-up that could be streamed so the community members can see and interact.
What new programs or type of content would you come back day after day for?
Device update info, real news on ZTE products and not rumors, videos, a weekly contest, SPro3, more beta testing spots or just anything really to keep us engaged.
We put all the usernames of those who submitted their feedback in to a random name generator and here are the top 5 names it came up with:
