@diamonddave @toyguy22 Thanks guys. Yeah I guess i'll have to get a screen protector but with the curved glass and all the random ones on amazon which one is best to get? Isnt ZTE offering cases and screen protectors soon?
P30 Pro screen protectors will fit the Axon 10 Pro, both devices literally use the same screen and about to look for some P30 Pro Glass Protector , I'll post some pictures when I get them installed.
Unfortunately I dropped my Axon 10 Pro from about 3.5 ft on to a sidewalk and shattered the screen. I am not sure if a screen protector would have helped with this, but it certainly wouldn't have hurt.
ouch... damn.. i droppe dmy axon 7 a bunch of times and never had an issue. now i'm worried bout the A10. are you getting a warranty replacement or something?
where do you get those? huawei site or just search on amazon?
I had mine as part of the beta program. I am going to call about getting an RMA to have it replaced. I was told it would be about $101 to do so.
searching through Amazon.com ,
Oh boy, sorry to hear that man,
Thank you. It was the first time I ever shattered a phone and it was devastating!
wow it hit just the right corner at the right angle right? damn sorry man
Yeah, your left hand corner and shattered from there. It still works otherwise, but I can feel the tiny glass shards when I see on it.
Sorry to hear this @chuckbort. I hope you are able to get it repaired.
Thanks, I will keep everyone updated on how it goes.
Keep searching for axon 10 accessories and getting nothing much. Lots of random branded cases or screen protectors that all look the same with no reviews... Any effort by zte to get different brands to make things for the zte line?
i bought a screen protector from Taobao that is one of those clear plastic type that fits Axon 10 Pro surprisingly well. It covers almost the entire screen, including the curved sides, just a very tiny gap on the top and the bottom that is not covered. There is a small cutout for the front camera and no cutout for the fingerprint sensor. However, surprisingly, the FP scanner still works great even with the screen protector on.
How is it with fingerprints and smudging? The Full coverage glass one that I ordered from Amazon arrived yesterday, but haven't attempted to take it out of the package yet
I tried a Glass protector for a P30 Pro just to see if it would fit. It fits perfectly. It has the cutout for the camera positioned perfectly. It was the last one of this brand that Amazon had. The P30 Pro and Axon 10 pro must use the same screen. Just an FYI.
D, where did you get this SP?
Will provide feedback once I get one on. Bought from Amazon.
[2-Pack] Geapor for ZTE Axon 10... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W3BBDLF?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
With protector on/no issues with fingerprint so far:
Maybe a 5mm gap on bottom atop, but the top has full edge coverage on each side for about a quarter inch. Perfect for swiping down.
In these last photos are you referencing the Geapor screen protector? Thanks
First issue: right side of protector having issues with keyboard (backspace), Swipe navigation etc,. Have to force the letters, action, etc. Will see if this improves as it settles. So far no problems with keyboard swiping
I got it on Amazon. It was the last one of this brand. It is a UV glue type. I have been using the UV glue type since the curved screens started. They are the only Glass Protectors that work well in my opinion. I prefer glass over the other types
It does gather fingerprints and smudges fairly easy but the screen looks very clear and crisp as if the protector is not there, so I am pretty happy with it.
In pictures 2 and 3 (especially in pic #2) from @diamonddave, there appears to be a small purple circular light at the top left of the phone. I know it's NOT an LED notification light, so I was just curious if anyone knows exactly what sensor that is?
It looks like some sort of reflection from the the camera taking the picture.
To avoid any confusion with any other reflections/glare, I highlighted the small purple circular light I was referring to from @diamonddave's pic #2 and #3. I realize it may not be visible in real life to the naked eye. I'm assuming it's some sort of sensor.
@toyguy22 , it's most likely from the P20 Pro that I used for the pictures. As for the Screen protector, I ripped it off after no response from the very right side of the screen (as noted above. I've had several drops with this phone and so farno issues with screen damage.
I called the RMA number and was told it would be around $360 to replace the screen. I'm going to pass on that one, lol!
Yikes! What happened to the "about $101" you were told initially?
Also, when you dropped your phone, were you using the included clear plastic case with the phone?
I believe that price is with the protection plan. Since I didn't purchase the phone, it's not valid on mine.
Yes, I did have the included case on when I dropped it. But it feel just right.
