Lock screen to open app

in Blade V8 PRO
I can not find a way for my blade v8 to unlock and go to last open app. If I don't input something and it locks when I unlock it briefly shows the last app and then goes to home screen. Any one else with this problem?

, my wife has a Blade V8 pro, but does not use a lock screen (other than the default swipe). As a test, she had Chrome open, turned the screen off using the power button, then turned it back on via the power button. She swiped up to open the phone and Chrome was still there. What lock screen method do you use to lock your device? I might be able to try and reproduce.
I use the fingerprint lock
, my daughter uses the FPS to unlock her device and it seems to work fine. She tried multiple apps including Chrome, snapchat and Instagram, and all unlocks opened the last app used. We tried using both the display sleep timeout and the power button. You could try clearing the Cache partition of the phone.
